Questions asked on The Narrow Path Radio Program hosted by Steve Gregg – 8/5/2013 Afternoon Show

1. Can you explain to me what Christ means when He says to deny yourself and take up your cross and follow Him in Luke 9:23? In Luke 9:24 which states “For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it,” is Christ also warning that this can affect our salvation?

2. What are your suggestions for finding real fellowship?

3. Caller said that the mark of the beast and many other prophecies in Revelation have to apply to the future.

4. Why is the Bible so difficult to understand, like Revelation and Ezekiel? Why did God create the Bible that way?  How do we know that other religions are not right and Christianity is? Why don’t many Jews believe in the eyewitnesses to Jesus? Is it true, as the Jews say, that Christians don’t interpret Isaiah 7:14 regarding the virgin birth correctly? How does one know if Christian claims or Jewish claims are true? Why didn’t Jesus present Himself to the Jews after the resurrection instead of just His disciples?

5. Is it correct that all the Old Testament prophecies have been fulfilled and the Kingdom of God has been established now?  Are there any prophecies left that have not yet been fulfilled?

6. Why would a loving God force Abraham to sacrifice his son?

7. Isaiah 53:4 is translated as “Surely He has borne our griefs (or sicknesses) and carried our sorrows”; what is the correct word there?
