Questions asked on The Narrow Path Radio Program hosted by Steve Gregg – 7/23/2013 Afternoon Show

  1. Caller asked for direction in regard to dealing with Calvinism.
  2. In Acts 8:39 with Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch, what happened to Philip at the end of their encounter when it says “And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more…” What did it mean to catch him away? Was it that Philip simply left or was it supernatural?
  3. What do you think about the Genesis 6 passage regarding the “sons of God” having intercourse with human women?
  4. How do you interpret Romans 8:19 which states “the earnest expectation of the creature waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God…” so that they’ll be released from vanity and actually delivered from bondage of corruption?  How do you interpret that in light of 2 Pet. 3:13 and Revelation 20 that talk about how that at Jesus’ return and at the face of God the earth flees away and is destroyed by fire?
  5. What can we do to help a demon-possessed man who has come to our church? We have prayed for him; do you have any other information or resources for us to help him?
  6. Do you know anybody that is biblically sound that holds the view that Philip simply left the Ethiopian eunuch versus being physically and supernaturally carried away by the Spirit of God?
  7. Where did the first staff come from like the staff Abraham, Jacob and Moses carried? Where did the original staff come from and where would it be today?
  8. What is the significance of the “robe of righteousness”? Is that something that I can turn in and give up my eternal security? Can a person give up their salvation?
  9. Caller asks for clarification on how to answer people who ask when he was saved since he has been seeking to follow Christ since he was a child.  Is there a singular event he should be thinking about?
  10. Where in Revelation was it that Jesus said “Behold, I am making all things new”?Here is a link to the audio of the show.
